Falcon Gateway acts as the on-prem transmission point between your imaging environment and Falcon Cloud. Your imaging systems send studies to the Gateway using standard DICOM networking. The Gateway then securely transmits those studies to Falcon Cloud, enabling access across supported devices while preserving local network boundaries.
Falcon Gateway is designed to integrate into existing environments with minimal to none changes. After installation on a designated on-site Mac, you configure basic DICOM settings and validate connectivity. Once running, Falcon Gateway operates as a controlled, outbound-only transmission layer that securely delivers studies to Falcon Cloud over an encrypted internet connection.

Falcon Gateway uses an outbound-only communication model. No external system initiates a connection into your network. This approach avoids inbound firewall exposure and supports controlled, predictable connectivity to Falcon Cloud.
System requirements
Falcon Gateway requires an Apple Silicon M-series Mac running macOS 26 or later. An active internet connection is required for encrypted transmission to Falcon Cloud.
We recommend at least 1 TB of local SSD storage to support buffering and smooth operation, with higher capacities recommended for larger study volumes and busier environments.
For best results, deploy Falcon Gateway on the latest generation M-series Macs with high-performance SSD storage and a stable network connection to your imaging systems.
